Being French I'm not sure to understand that libreofficebase 1.5 doesn't accept the last version of reportbuilder.....
Could someone give me the conclusion of your discussions?

You mean LO 5.1 and the built-in Oracle-ReportBuilder probably. (Which is an extension, but as I know in most Linux-Systems a pre-installed one that is firmly integrated to LO).
The Base-Report-Extension is NOT the Oracle-ReportBuilder - I've tested the Base-Report-Extension (just some minutes ago) on a freshly Kubuntu 16.04 which runs a LO 5.1.2.2 and - beside of the typo - the extension works fine:

For questions concerning the Oracle-ReportBuilder - please open a new tread and provide exact informations about your operating system, LO-Version, how it and the Oracle-ReportBuilder were installed. And of course some thing like an error message - if any.

Quite by accident I found and downloaded this extension.
Although it was published as early as March 2016, I don't found a reviews on web sites. Have I not looked well?
I was the first to put "I like", I was the first to try it?
Still it works well. I tested with a Query Base with three fields and 9520 records. The running time is quite long (150 seconds) compared with about 30 seconds of Report Builder. But for smaller databases the time is reduced significantly (see chart).

The running time depends on your

1. query-layout
2. database-layout
3. report-file complexity and of course on the
4. ammount of data that is insterted

Ususally one doesn't use a writer-document to present 10.000 records of a query . A "report" is used for small tables e.g. for an invoice or if you order 5 items ...

Therefore the extension focuses on table-layout and not on data-export.

All cell-values are inserted one by one using

oWriterTable.getCellByPosition(i,ii).setstring(oResultset.getstring(n))

so huge data-tables are a time consuming thing, of course.

The extension ensures, that

• all data is shown in the tables (flexible table cells - which is not provided by the ReportBuilder), it can
• merge cells if there is the same content in adjactent cells, it can
• combine data from different queries in one report (even if queryX is from in DatabaseX and queryY from DatabaseY!), it can
• refer queries to data in actually opened Base-forms (e.g. "select * from invoices where id= '###FORMFIELD(<InvoicesForm><id>)###' ")
• and many more...

If the report is ready the extension can manipulate the report (without an user interaction!): Save to file, save to pdf, mail the report to somebody, call a batch-file (e.g. to copy the report (per ssh etc.) somewhere ...) - or it just returns the report as a Base-object so that programmers can do what ever they want to...

For exporting data formatted to Calc we have done a similar extension, but it's not ready to publish and furthermore just tested for MySQL ...

My test was only trying to find the limits ...
I believe that the extension is friendlier than Report Builder, a very good work .
To make it known I talked about it on the English forum of AOO.
I would like to do a review on the AOO Italian forum where I am the administrator.
I think I do a translation into Italian.

There's 2 things to translate - the description and the extension itself.

Translation of the description
The description evtl. should be rewritten complete. I reviewed my own document 4 or 5 times, but it's something different to explain all the things to another person...
I think at least 3 people should read it and give suggestions to change it, so it becomes more readable to the public.

Translation of the extension:
There's a sub (BRX_SetLanguage) in the extension that enables translation of the messageboxtexts:
All texts are stored in just one array: la_BRX_text(n,l) - where "n" is the index of the text to use and "l" the index for the language to use. Inside functions and subs texts are retrieved by la_BRX_text(3,li_BRX_Language) where "li_BRX_Language" is a module-local integer that is set by calling ThisComponent.CharLocale.Language.

did you change line 100 from
